The view from my hotel room in Maryland where I woke up this morning, vs. my view here in Florida this afternoon.  Was working on a movie when I got the news Monday... and again on Tuesday.  Wednesday flew across country and gave a speech... only to be snowed in.  It was actually nice-- I needed a day in my jimmies, without having to keep it together and "be on" in public.  But now that's over, and it's time to meet the masses, apparently.  Yikes!

#TBT to last Sunday before my world got turned upside down.  I got a text at 10am saying I couldn't wear the dress I'd picked out for the Oscars, because Lady Gaga might need it for an after-party (nevermind that we're not the same size).  So @Tafreshi_Fashion @Pushandcompany @Wilfordlenov @HoswayMorbakAli and I improvised.  NOW I understand she's starring in AHS: HOTELL???  (Did I mention I'd been snowed in a hotel-- total horror story-- the last 2 days?)  I DO BELIEVE THESE WORLDS ARE ALL CONNECTED!!!  I just hope to have the chance to tell her how she flubbed me up on Sunday! ;)  Sadly, this story now seems so silly and insignificant. :(

I needed 200 hugs last night, and I got them!  Salisbury University (Maryland) came out in droves yesterday to hear me speak.  Up till then, I hadn't gone more than an hour and a half without bursting into tears-- but somehow, my 2 hour talk went great!

I am utterly shattered.  It's inconceivable to me that just 3 weeks ago we were in Russia together;  locked a "padlock of love" and threw the key into the Moscow River, signifying it's permanence.  I will love you forever, Ben Woolf.  I only wish you were alive for me to tell you, and can't seem to believe that you're not.  You were the first one to wish me a happy Valentine's Day.

40 years ago tomorrow, it was the coldest day of the year in Denver, CO... So cold, the Volkswagen bus almost didn't start!  But then, by some miracle; it did; we made it just in time to the hospital, where I was born, 4 lbs 9 oz.

On my 15th birthday, 25 years ago tomorrow, I got my SAG card...

Now, 25 years later, I'm finally making full-use of that card, playing an 18 year old orphan.  Oh, and it's forecasted to be 75 degrees tomorrow. :)

Not gonna lie, I half-way thought I was going to Russia to be kidnapped & killed.  QUITE THE CONTRARY!  HUNDREDS of press core members & fans awaited us at the Russian International Horror Film Awards press conference IMMEDIATELY following our arrival.  SO GLAD Getty Images (and every other photographer ever) captured me in the clothes I'd slept in two nights straight, just after a 12 hour flight, 3 hour connector, and 6 hour layover.  Never felt so famous/dirty/exhausted/excited/overwhelmed.

Went to Moscow for the weekend.  How 'bout you?
